The Coffee Quality Institute launched this exciting coffee project, called Q-Project Thailand, with the goal of increasing coffee producer income and raising coffee quality in Thailand. This activity is the result of a cooperative coalition between CQI, Bolliger and Company, and CQI Instructors (that’s us, among others), and is hosted by various Thai governmental entities.
Q-Project Thailand will train coffee producers and processors in the skills and knowledge required to deepen their understanding of their product, produce higher quality and higher value coffees, and connect with green buyers both in local and international markets. The Coffee Quality Institute released its QE Courses to expand on it’s opportunity to - Quality Coffee Evaluation was developed by the CQI (Coffee Quality Institute). The purpose of this workshop is to provide coffee producers with a basic understanding of the way their coffee tastes and how to evaluate their own coffee. A six-day workshop will provide participants with an Introduction of Coffee Cupping, Flavors, Aromas, and using the SCA Cupping Form. Participants in the workshop will be able to taste coffee from a variety of countries producing coffee around the world and gain knowledge that will assist them in their daily work on the farm.
We are very Excited that this portion of the project is hosted by Wullop Pasananon at Nine One Coffee Farm in Chiang Mai.
